Now that's a bear of a different color!

If Scarlett were to be learning about bears at daycare, and she was given the task of coloring a bear at daycare - what color would her bear be folks?

Pink. And only pink. Her bear would be very importantly pink with not even a hint of another color despite there being buckets of markers made available to her. Man she is such a girl.

The pink thing is fascinating to me. Do little girls like pink because a lot of the things they own and wear are pink? Or is there really some genetic disposition to the color? At Carson’s 2 year check up, his Dr told me that he was surprised to find out that people can’t distinguish pastels until they are adolescents. If that’s true, why are little girls so drawn to pink. Because there is no doubt that your little girl is drawn to pink.

Ummm, yeah. I really noticed it after her Easter basket was full of only pink eggs. I don't know where she gets it from. She doesn't even have a lot of pink clothes. But then again, why do boys like trucks and trains...CARSON. :)
As far as pastels, they're just versions of real colors. She couldn't distinguish pastel pink from real pink (or pastel blue from real blue etc...which is maybe what Carson's Dr. might have meant), but she can certainly distinguish pink from red, blue, orange, yellow, green, black and brown. That's gotten pretty obvious in the past few months.

At least she's not obsessed with purple. I hate purple.
