H-O-L-D-E-N

This morning, Scarlett was singing B-I-N-G-O to herself as we were getting ready for work/daycare. Yeah...you know the song;

"There was a farmer who had a dog and Bingo was his name-O.
B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, and Bingo was his name-O."

Well, I got the song stuck in my head thanks to her royal cheekiness. I started singing it to myself too. And I might have gotten carried away. Overcome with artistic license, I decided to substitute Holden's name...H-O-LD-E-N...impressively overcoming some major syllable issues.

Scarlett wasn't having it. She protested my singing, quite loudly in fact, and told me I wasn't allowed to sing the song that way. I asked her why. Her response?

"Because mom. Holden is not his name-O."

This is exactly how I taught Carson to spell his name! "There was a little boy and Carson was his na-ame: C-A-R S-O-N..." Well, he gets very upset with me when I don't say "Carson was his name-o." Very, very upset.
